We are Venom: the Queer Relationship between Eddie Brock and the Venom Symbiote in MARVEL Comics
The characters of Eddie Brock and the Venom Symbiote from Marvel Comics are shown through the lens of queer theory to be in a queer relationship that remains concealed due to literature’s history of hiding queer characters in the subtext of comic books. This claim can be supported by many aspects of the comic books Venom appears in. The first piece of evidence lending credence to the achievable romantic relationship is that Eddie and the Venom Symbiote first bonded in a church. There are many examples of instances where Eddie Brock talks about the Venom Symbiote that grant evidence to the existence of a queer relationship between the two of them. The comic art has a tendency to project the relationship between the characters as romantic. The concluding evidence of the two characters who embody Venom being in a queer relationship is them having “children” together and being “parents” in a
Venom: Let There Be Carnage has appear out to the boos of critics and the applause of the general public. The Playlist’s Rodrigo Perez described it as a noisy, anarchic CGI-laden weaboo porn tentacle fest. His negative sentiments were not shared by the numerous queer Venom fans on TikTok who were delighted that the Venom films reflected the queer chaos of the comics. Critics have continued to slam the film, citing valid critiques such as the overuse of CGI while ignoring the actual history of Venom comics and often misunderstanding the goal of this film.
Because this Venom sequel is not an amazing film, nor does it pretend to be one. The opening sequences of the film are awkwardly paced, the combat scenes aren’t overly creative, and the dialogue sounds almost surreal at times, and yet the film is still enjoyable. Venom: Grant There Be Carnage has accrued an 80% rating score from audiences on Rotten Tomatoes (contrasting with the 60% given by critics) and is being praised by comic fans on social media.

Venom: The Last Dance Review: A franchises death Knull
It’s always weird as hell when a comedy series tries to end on a weepy, nostalgic observe, and it’s even stranger when it’s a series primarily focused around a gay romance between a nebbish journalist and his superpowered black-goo alien partner. I don’t reflect one could ever really describe the Venom movies as “moving,” though they do have plenty of superlatives that one could fling at them: “unexpected delights,” “ferociously funny,” “proof that Tom Hardy is among the best productive actors in Hollywood today.” It’s also an unexpectedly achieving franchise, done on the (relative) economical by Sony, which spun gold out of a Spider-Man character without ever acknowledging the wall-crawler’s influence. The first Venom was dunked on mercilessly prior to its emit, but Hardy’s sheer commitment to the bit, assisted by genuinely solid writing and a powerful supporting cast, turned it into an endearing curio, which was full of the very things that made it a laughing stock (Hardy’s weird accent, the hints of queer subtext, the Em

Author NoteSpeak about smoke signals, amiright? Dad jokes aside Im going to be doing something with the next few pages (or really any pages with Boone) and Im terribly curious if anyone will notice. Haha Im not going to say WHAT Im doing but consider this a little foreword. Also, Ive been trying to pre sketch out the next few chapters and its uuuuh going slowly. Kinda enjoy art-block for panels. Pacing with comics is SO alternative from writing. Its a real killer sometimes.
Author NoteSomething Ive noticed is readers manage to forget a lot of the specifics from scene to scene, so as long as you have touchpoints + a mood or character for the set, itll still read correctly. I had no issue recognizing the set! You did a good noun showing what needed to be shown to establish it. :]
XD oh good. Im always worried when I redesign a room that itll stop being rec
