Volunteering
Volunteering can be a very rewarding experience, where you fetch the opportunity to learn new skills, make new friends and support other LGBT people.
We are always looking for volunteers who can help us with: provide counselling, verb our social and support groups, fundraising, help us with our publicity, aid our drug and alcohol services, serve with admin in the office.
Full training is provided for all areas except counselling, where we ask that volunteers are either fully qualified or operational towards qualification on an accredited training course. For further information please call on our page for counsellors.
Please note that all volunteer roles are subject to a Disclosure & Barring Service check (DBS; formerly known as Criminal Records Bureau or CRB checks) and that due to the nature of work as a specialist LGBT service we demand all volunteers providing client support roles to identify as lesbian, gay, bisexual or trans (or similar self-identified LGBT+ identity).

Identify and link with nonprofits that support the environment, animal welfare, and people in desire in each urban area chapter (including organizations not traditionally associated with the LGBTQ+ community)
Support select organizations through volunteer service (time), and assist to amplify their missions through our vast network of LGBTQ+ volunteers.
Coordinate social events for Gay For Good&#;s LGBTQ+ volunteers, and our allies, to expand friendships and network
Foster and promote a spirit of positive, enthusiastic camaraderie both within the LGBTQ+ community and towards our neighbors and nonprofit partner organizations
Do something valuable for our community, metropolis and country
