It’s summertime and Pride season is in full swing. LGBTQ people across the state, nation, and the world are celebrating their identities and living their lives authentically. Two years out from a landmark Supreme Court decision guaranteeing marriage rights for same-sex couples, The Rainbow Times asked several people to share quirky stories of love, romance, and relationships in honor of a season where we celebrate the affection of self and the love of others.

When we were growing up there were few (if any) gay love stories around for us to be exposed to, whether in real life,  on TV, or anywhere else in the media.

We would own absolutely loved to have been competent to learn that gay love stories do exist and that gay relationships and gay romance could be actual, true and loving.

That’s why in this blog post we wanted to disseminate some real-life gay love stories from some of our followers on Instagram in the wish that we can spread the message that love really is for all. [no_toc]

Our first gay love story is from Branden and Stephen:
