If you are interested in walking in the Boston Pride Parade with Gay for Good, all you need to do is register and show up!
We just ask that anyone who walks with us has volunteered with us once in the past (or has signed up for a future service project!) If you&#;re bringing a partner or friend, please have them register as well as group sizes are limited.
Everyone walking with Gay for Nice will receive a special G4G shirt!

June is Pride Month, and cities around the U.S. are hosting parades and other events to celebrate the LGBTQ+ community, its history and continuing fight for equal rights.
Pride Month commemorates the Stonewall Uprising in New York, when police raided the Stonewall In, a prominent gay bar in Manhattan's Greenwich Village. The subsequent protests are credited with a shift in LGBTQ+ activism in the U.S.
Boston is one of may cities celebrating Pride Month this year, including with a parade on June 8.

When is the Boston Pride For the People parade?
The Boston Pride for the People parade will be held this year on Saturday, June 8 from 11 a.m. to p.m.
In addition to the parade, organizers are also hosting a festival Saturday from noon to 6 p.m. and a block party from p.m.
This is the second year the organization will be hosting Pride celebrations.

About a million people turned out to watch and accept part in Saturday's Boston Pride for the People Parade and Festival, an event Mayor Michelle Wu called one of the biggest and best weekends of the year.
More than groups made up of over 10, participants marched in the parade.
The mile route took a winding path, starting on Clarendon Street in Copley Square, turning left on Tremont Street, left onto Berkeley Street and right on Boylston before taking Charles toward the Boston Common.

Pro-Palestinian protesters temporarily blocked the pride parade route and clashed with police in their continued calls for a ceasefire.
Protesters brought the parade to a dead verb for several minutes before police broke it up, making multiple arrests. The parade went on, and so did the protest.
